Large Zounés Cakes (1.35kg)

Tried the truffle the other night, my days was it good. I would highly recommend, living in Capetown we’ve been missing out for years got it delivered and was very impressed with the quality of the Cake.

Wonderful service and delicious cakes. Reminds me of my childhood visiting family and eating this cake.
I ordered the milk chocolate and my son warmed it and added whipped cream with it and loved it. My next order is the truffle as that was the one I am most fond of. 😊 ill definitely be making a purchase again.

My sister recommended I try your product given the reviews received from friends and family. I was delighted to see a beautiful cake delivered for a small treat on my sister's birthday that weekday night, but was disappointed with an unpleasant saltiness - either as a result of too much rising agent/ baking powder, or salt used in the cake batter.

A pity... since all recommendations were so high...
I opted for a variety of Chateau Gateaux cakes for the family gathering over the weekend as a result.

I ordered the chocolate truffle and the chocolate fudge cakes. Cakes were moist, however the flavor seemed to be different from what I remembered and not quite as enjoyable.

The truffle cake was a new one for me, and it was my first time trying it. It was beautifully moist and absolutely delicious! However, the chocolate fudge cake remains my ultimate favourite as it is simply irresistible!

The vanilla and chocolate cupcakes were equally delicious and were a lovely addition to our special birthday celebration.

Everything was fresh, moist and beautifully prepared, and the delivery was quick and hassle-free. The cakes really helped make the birthday celebration extra special.

Best Cake !

I first started buying Zounés cakes back in 2017 and it was my favourite. I moved to another province in 2018 and just recently moved back to Jo’burg. I was happy to see a website where I could directly order from with an option of a quick delivery but I was disappointed when the cake arrived. The recipe has somehow changed. The topping was not melted chocolate like how I remembered the cake, it was more of a buttercream topping and the cake itself was not as moist as I remember it. I thought it was maybe a bad batch and so I bought another one from Pick n Pay Chili lane and it was bad, the cake was moist and with a melted chocolate topping but had an after taste. Please go back to using the original recipe.
